Music Holidays

Treat yourself to an all inclusive classical music holiday at one of the UK's most elegant hotels.

The Chapel

All Music at Tresanton concerts take place in the St Mawes Methodist Chapel. This lovely Georgian Chapel was bought and elegantly renovated by Tresanton owner Olga Polizzi, and has a uniquely intimate atmosphere. It is situated on Chapel Terrace, a short (but steep!) walk up the hill from the St Mawes waterfront.

We are excited to announce our programme for November 2015, which will be dedicated entirely to the greatest of all composers - J.S. Bach. We'll be celebrating our 10th Festival with an exciting and varied programme of Bach's music, including solo suites for piano, violin, cello and flute, accompanied sonatas, concertos, orchestral suites, and even a cantata. We are thrilled to welcome back soprano Ailish Tynan, flutist Ariel Zuckermann, oboist Daniel Bates and violinist Katharine Gowers, and also thrilled to welcome for the first time violinists Yura Lee and Jonian Ilias Kadesha, violist Susan Knight, cellists Adrian Brendel and Julian Arp and double bass player Lucy Shaw. We look forward to welcoming our audience for this celebration of Bach's music, and 10 years of Music at Tresanton.

A bit of history -

In 2006 seven musicians gathered in the small village of St Mawes, on the tip of the Roseland peninsula, to mark Schumann's 150th anniversary by playing through all of his chamber music with piano. Since then Music at Tresanton has been offering annual programmes and attracting audiences from the Roseland peninsula as well as from further afield in Cornwall and the UK, has been featured as one the Indpendent's top winter breaks, and has been frequently broadcast by BBC radio 3 as part of their lunch time concert series.

Tickets for individual concerts or subscriptions for all four (without accommodation) will also be available from the Hall for Cornwall

All inclusive offers are available from Hotel Tresanton including room, breakfasts, dinners and tickets to all concerts for the special price of £435 per person (sharing a double room). See our Booking Details page, or click here for our Booking Enquiry form.
